Take A Fall Bike Ride With TransitMatters!

  • Lechmere 3 North First Street Cambridge, MA, 02141 United States (map)

Take a bike ride from Lechmere to Concord with TransitMatters!

Join TransitMatters on Saturday, October 14 for a bike ride on the Somerville Community Path and Minuteman Bikeway!

There will be a group for beginner riders, which will depart at 10:00am, and a group for experienced riders, which will depart at 10:45am. If you are using a BlueBike, we recommend getting an Adventure Pass and joining the group for beginner riders, as BlueBikes tend to be slower. Riders are also welcome to ride at their own pace and meet us in Concord. Here is a map of the route we will be taking.

We will begin at Lechmere Station and ride to the Concord Commuter Rail Station, where we will get ice cream at Bedford Farms Ice Cream and see a Boston and Maine car.

Returning from Concord, we will take the 1:20pm train. Concord Station is inaccessible and does not have any form of high-level platform; however, conductors are usually good about making bike on-loading easy at non-accessible stations. Jackson will lead a group to West Concord Station if this becomes an issue.

Remember to bring water, wear a helmet, and we will stop at restrooms along the way—we hope to see you there! Rain date: Oct. 21.

TransitMatters will take photos during the event and publish photos on social media. Attendees consent to being photographed by attending.

TransitMatters is not responsible for the safety of riders.

RSVP here.
